(with the most recent "closed unless posted open" policy most likely being the most important subject manner to ever affect this sport).

Thanks for your thoughts,

"wow".....I either just talked way over the basic understanding of current events few care about....or simply made the mistake of 'how dare you' questioning those who presently lead/divide our sport into single vs multi-use factions.
Is this why attending get-togethers in the (cough) 'united' orv community is like "walking on eggshells"???
For example:
Who goes to Windrock events with the hope of gathering folks together in regards to basic safety issues or changing state-wide double-em-up/helmet-less laws to mirror what our national orv leaders portray us to be?
How about southeastern Kentucky in regards to finally bringing the concept of 'pay-to-play' to not only that region; but every other in the Appalachias not publicly calling for the same type of H/M-like system to be put in place for the sake of our kids?

As I said....it looks like getting together with folks in the "we're all just one big happy family" orv world requires one of two things:
That you either be dumb as a rock and not care about the political issues affecting both your sport and your kid's ability to enjoy it when you're gone (similiar to the familiar "I just want the bumper sticker/t-shirt" mentality prevalent in many local clubs and national organizations).....
....or that you have 'half-a-brain'; yet simply sit there and keep your mouth shut as the price of admission into a potential 'family' where only the most pleasant of items are ever pointedly discussed.(I don't discount the camaraderie factor here whatsoever....it's just that when I travel hundreds or thousands of miles to be viewed as 'united' and there isn't even a damn local charity event planned or business to be tended to affecting our ability to ever gather again elsewhere....).

Not knocking this rally or any other out there; just commenting on the fact that very few give a damn about turning around the perception of us by others or holding even our own leader's feet to the fire for many years of flat out running away from what I've brought up above.

If you can't get these people to even include "Q and A" periods at orv group sponsored public meetings in a state with the largest maintained trail system out there....with 100% of the orv community supporting same and obviously no questions of their own....who are we to blame when OUR kids never choose to get involved at levels beyond "who's going to bring the weenies?" anymore than we ever did?
