I emailed Kate at Archview Campground the following question:

Hey Kate,

The voting for our location has begun, and we should know soon if it's
going to be your Campground. Can you tell me if June is too hot for vehicles without A/C? Also, is there any weekends in May/June that are completely wide open or close to that? Thanks again,

And, here's her response:

May and June at this time seem to be pretty open, except of course memorial day weekend. June is really a tough month to predict...but it is usually 80's and 90's. I would say to come before mid June.

I'm personally thinking that if Moab is selected, I was thinking that possibly the May 30-2nd might be good, that way folks can take off the weekend before(Fri), and only take off 4 days for a 9 day vacation. Just a thought, but I'm concerned on whether all the kids will be out of school or not.

Kids are out June 6th here. I understand the temp thing and don't want to change your mind about the dates but I wonder how many Moab voters would change their mind and vote Alpine Loop if they are in the same boat as me. Can we get a show of hands? uh, posts.

I hear ya Kevin. Alpine Loop will definitely fit in the later summer months, because too much snow on the ground still in June at that altitude.

We drove by Moab on the way to Monticello in September.
I wish I had planned better. I would have stayed for a few days to ride.
