Default Registration completed........Now I need to buy my wheels!

Hey there...

Archview Double Cabin
June 6th - 10th
One person (maybe two or three)
07 660 Rhino (Haven't purchased it.....yet!)

Guess first of all, I better introduce myself. My legal name is M. Royce Hitchcock, but most of my friends just call me "Bud." Some of you folks are familiar since I've spent a lot of time reading the forums here and on other forum sites as well. I called Archview today and reserved a double cabin. I doubt that my princess will accompany me, but it's possible that my nephew from Toronto (thirteen?) will accompany me. I also registered officially for the rally today too.
One could say that I'm putting the cart before the horse. I have a cabin reserved, registered for the poker event, but have never been atv`ing before in my life. After thinking about it...you could say I 'm actually a VIRGIN! .... a very old virgin! But I used to ride a 1978 Yamaha 750 Special in my younger days.
We moved here (Utah) from Buffalo, NY in 2003. It's the most beautiful country I have ever lived in...but I really miss the u.s.a. ! For those of you who haven't been to Moab, you will love it! But...be damned careful driving here cause the natives drive like maniacs!!! They will cut you off, weave in and out, and I swear they can't read a STOP sign. Another thing...if you like real beer, buy it next door (out of state) Otherwise you can pay double the price at the state liquor store.
We have been to Moab several times and can't get enough of it! Make sure you drive up to Dead Horse State Park. IMHO, its equal to if not more grand then the GC.
By the way, I haven't purchased my Rhino yet, but you can bet your @ss that I will be at the rally with one. Unless God decides otherwise. lol
Also, I'm volunteering to help any of you committee folks. I'm signing the ..........line now! I'm old and slow with palsied hands that have shaken like hell since birth back in 50. But since the U.S. Army wasn't concerned about......and sent me to `Nam, you shouldn't be either. Just don't ask me if I'm cold or if I can bring you a cup of coffee without a lid. I will bring you a beer from my cooler though. Bud Select (REAL BEER)!!!
One more thing, and this can't be emphasized enough! For those unfamiliar with desert country, drink lots of water and carry lots of it with you. I swear I have never drank as much water in my life as I have since moving here! Anyway...see you in Moab.

Happy trails.............Bud Hitchcock

Default OOPS!

Hey there......again!
I forgot to say one more thing in regard to volunteering to help out. As long as I get some time to ride the easy & moderate trails, I'm not concerned about actually participating in the the poker run itself. I would rather be useful helping those in charge of the committees.

happy trails.Bud

Bud, glad you're joining us. It's going to be a lot of fun. You might want to hold out for the new Ranger with that 800 EFI!

Thanks guys!
I looked at that RZR 800 but it looks smaller then the Rhino. Been looking at the 07 Ranger too......but I gotta have bucket seats! The ranger would undoubtedly be safer for me. My bones are rotting away with rhuematoid arthritis and the docs are concerned about my lower back. I take chemo in pill form every week and go to the hospital every two month`s for remcade infusions. The last thing I need is to go flying thru the air at 60 to 80 mph. My nic is smokem......NOT ramsfan. I'll be happy to bring up the rear on the trail rides and stay out of his way. lol
BTW..................That browning s x s is impressive! I can't wait to go out window shopping and look at everybody`s toys.
And Kevlar......when I say it's double the price for REAL beer in the state package stores its without exaggeration. Back in Buffalo, NY I could buy Molson's Gold for less then #25 a case. When we first moved here in 03 I paid $44 for a case. I'm lucky to have BX priviledges at Hill AFB (30 minute drive)so I can buy real beer. Otherwise, I would have insisted on getting out of exile long ago and moving to California. I'm not advocating anyone to do something illegal here in Utah, but if I was living in California, you can bet that I would be signed up already in one of those special clinics for some LEGAL weed It does wonders for pain control.
We need about 4 million more newcomers to turn this place around.
If I offend anyone in my postings, I apologize. But it's a black and white world for me....and I will tell it like it is. My wife is is always telling me, "You shouldn't have said that!" From time to time at her dinner parties, my comments will raise eyebrows. So if this old mutt steps on your toes..........pardon me! Remember, I'm innocent....like a virgin.

I've got one 50 amp site, 2 adults, 1 teenage grandson, bringing 2, 07-700XP Rangers from Georgia. My friend and I are ole racers, he owns a company that builds components for dirt cars for twenty seven years, ironically called PRC, and I am a retired drag racer. I helped start the Pro Mod category in the late eighties and was the first member of the Super Chevy 200 mph club with a 66 Chevelle. We ride cross country on Honda Gold Wings, been to Bonneville twice, and have slowed down a little with these Rangers. Been accross this country a hundred times but looking forward to slowing down for once and seeing this part of the country the right way. Both the other halves have to stay behind and pay the bills so we can take our time. Plan on being there the 3rd or 4th and leaving on the 10th.....maybe. Looking forward to seeing and riding with everyone.
