Thumbs up Getting Ready for Rally

My husband and I are new to this. So we took Chris's advise and order skid plates for our Prowler. Chris also said bigger tires are a asset, However this year we won't be able to afford that. As a new member to your site and also new to the world of UTV's (not yet a year). we are still learing about our machine and how to handle it in the terrian. looking forward to meeting everyone at the rally.

We have a Local ATV Jamboree here in Elko Nevada in June. I'm going to go for a couple of days on that.

Sincerely yours

Terry and Bob St.louis

Prowlers have more ground clearance than other UTVs. You should be fine with stock tires. Just expect a few extra scratches and dents in your skid plate.

Thanks, Crowdog. We have seen that a "spotter's rope" is handy to bring along. What is this used for, and how long is it?

You attach it to your vehicle and use it for steep off camber sections or when you need a little tug to get up something steep. It looks similar to a rope used for water skiing......

And if you hang onto it too long, you'll ski down the rocks on your knees...

Is this a requirement? And if so, what else should us non rock crawlers know about?

It's best and appreciated by most to have the bare minimums by each vehicle, but if you can't get it, don't worry about. Someone in the group will have what you need.

Hello everyone,

Registration is now open. Please go to: https://www.eventville.com/catalog/e...ventid=1003695 to register each person you plan to have attend.

The organized trail rides have a limit on how many UTV's can register per group and will be based on registration order. So, in essence, if one fills up (i.e. 10 vehicles), you'll be assigned to the second group to leave that day for that specific trail. Nobody will be excluded, but you might not be the first group to head out for the day.

Registration is as follows:

Adults - $50/person
Children (Under 16) - $35/child
T-Shirts (Optional) - $10
Events - $5/person or UTV depending on event
DVD - $20

All registrations are paid through paypal, which you can pay with a paypal account if you have one, or a debit/credit card, online check, or even a draft from your checking account. It's 100% secure, and we're not privy to your personal information, so you have nothing to worry about.

Pre-registered folks will be guaranteed the catered dinner, have a t-shirt at the Rally if you ordered one, and won't be excluded from any of the events due to space restrictions. If you wait to register till you arrive, we'll do our best to accommodate everyone, but there's unfortunately no way for us to guarantee it.

Lastly, if you haven't already, make sure you've completed the UTV requirements: Moab OHV Requirements...Must Read!

And, if you haven't already booked your accomodations, here's a list of places nearby: 2008 Rally Details

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at:

Well the Skid plates are here, (Bob will be putting them on this weekend) the rain gear is on order, registration is done and RV parking is also reserved. Now we just have to get the vintage travel trailer ready for the trip. Still can't get to it becasue of the snow drifts

Working at a ATV store helps out alot!
