I wasn't going to say anything but...

The manager at The OV RV place is a terrible host. Not that two people's vote matters, but if the event next year is held there, we'll pass. I'm not willing to air my gripes in a public forum, just suffice to say that 'unfriendly' is very generous. The Archview people seemed happy to have us!

Thumbs up

I had an excellent time. I agree with some things that were said so far.

IMO don't count on the street legal thing working out. Plan for it not.

On the comment about general raffles. I think it would be fun to have games that evening that you can pay for to win some of the bigger items. Such as a coin game. Get a bunch of UTV Rally coins designed with serial #'s. Sell them for $10-$100 each. Draw one serial # for say a winch or much larger item(s). In the end you still get a one of a kind collectors coin. Just an example. Another game could be the card game. Take two decks of cards, put one card from one deck in envelopes. Sell the cards individually. Take the second deck and draw one card from it or several to match with one sold for a larger prize. Have all the smaller prizes in the "general" raffle drawing by the tickets.

Chris, Kyle, and Michelle you all worked very hard. Thanks again. Contact me if you need help for next year. I have lots of other ideas rolling in my head.

Had a great time - 1st rally - I'll be back! Nothing to ad really, except I would like to have permision to line up some of the unhappy trail trudgers/rock huggers (spies I think) with my hood ornament and accelerate
I am sure with the suggestions here, the rally will only get better. Thanks for a great Rally Chris, Kyle and Michelle!

I'm pretty sure that was what was going to happen if the raffle give aways went on for any longer.

Ya might regret that... I can just see two pissed off women with PMS getting in there and taking everything!

Talking Great Fun

First off - A big thanks to Chris and all that helped. Overall it was GREAT!
This was my first time to do any 4 wheeling in Moab. I have driven through it many times, but never been off road. Moab is just unbelievable. Can't wait for next year.

Since this was my first time, I wanted to see as many trails as possible. So on Friday a group of new friends, including my son and I, headed out on our own and found Onion Creek Trail about 20 miles NE of Moab. It was great fun because it was fast and we could slide around.

Which brings me to my comments for change. Have one "Rodeo" event each evening and run trails all 4 days. As dificult as it is getting to Moab I can't go very often. So I want to maximize the trail runs and see the country. Then I could also participate in the other events that afternoon. If someone wants a day off they can hang around town. But I doubt many will.
Now that I have been once, I am comfortable going off on Friday for some new run. But I have to find others that want to go. It just wouldn't be fun or safe by myself.

The other problem was the poker run. That was a total flop in my opinion. I thought the poker run was on Friday making it another trail ride of some kind, that's why I signed up. Then I found out it was on Thursday and I was on my own to do it. Problem was I was with a huge group. How in the world could I run off to find cards? Hope you used my extra $10 (or was it $15) for some worthwile item.

Don't get me wrong - I had a great time. and thanks again for all your work. See you next year if at all possible!
