Question:

I know a lot of you guys were impressed with the performance of the Ridge Runners last year when we did Steel Bender and Cliff Hanger.

How do you think we will fare on Moab Rim?

I am willing to give it a try and I submitted my selection.....but it seems so far the other RR owners are backing out on that one.

Are they wusses or are they "smarter" than me

It's really not that bad...nothing you guys shouldn't try. The only thing is the first ledge that's a little nerve racking, because of the river being down off the cliff!

That's a good point Kyle. One thing to keep in mind in Moab is less throttle is better than more. The rocks in Moab, for those that have never attended offer tons of traction, so you don't normally need anywhere near the throttle you'd need in most other places to make it up an obstacle. So, in the event you get to something that you don't want to attempt or you want to get a hand on your cage or put a rope on the front or rear, just let the person in front of you or behind you know, and everyone will be happy to help. There's no need for anyone to push their limits past their comfort zone, and we're there to help you through those situations, but you have to let someone know. We can't read minds! You'll be amazed at where you'll take your UTV's.

I would like to also point out that we have not had any serious accidents or injuries. I was talking to Mike Wiler ( moab PD ) while the jeep safari was in full action, he said they had the helicopter out everyday and the search and rescue for accidents. He and others were still talking about how our event was very low key and the folks that come weren't trouble makers. It is nice to get that compliment about the event and the people that come and participate.

That's definitely not a reputation we want that's for sure.

LOL...anything can happen, but most of the time it can be prevented with a lending hand. Some people don't want it, and then we all can rightfully laugh!
