rocmoc, how did the joyner do? I didn't get a chance to talk to you much during the rally.

I would rather listen to the UTV's go through camp than listen a big diesel pusher that went through camp about 6 am one morning. Not to mention the 10-15 minute idle time. I know Everyone heard it. It shook my trailer. I also get yelled several times going through camp after 9:30. I quess I didn't pay attention when I checked in because I didn't know what they were yelling at. I felt like I was being watched every move I made. I'll be at the OK next year.

Hello Kyle, It was doing GREAT until I messed up. Took it out of 4wd going to the Rim on the blacktop and forgot to put it back in when we got there. Locked the lockers and ALMOST climbed the first ledge in 2wd but broke it in the process. Drove back to town with two others and didn't have the parts or time to fix. Had a great time. Moab is great, will return. Just kicking myself as the weak link turned out to be ME. LOL! I was really impressed by ALL of the toys. Thanks to you, Chris and the rest of your team for putting on such a great event.

If that was sat morn...It was me leaving that stinking dump.. sorry if i woke you...trying to wake BOB!!!! We had to hook up the trailer cause their sites are too short otherwise we would have started it and just left.

here's the crappy response i got from KOA..

Thank you for your email regarding the Moab KOA Kampground and for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We're sorry you were unhappy with your experience. Please know that we at the KOA Home offices and the managers of each independently owned campground care very much about your experience. We'll be sure to pass along your concerns to the management at the Moab KOA.

Once again, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I wish you much happy camping in the future.

Sincerely,

You can't mad at vehicles going in and out of camp. I just don't get why they hate the utv's. I am pretty sure my truck with flowmasters was louder then my Rzr. I wasn't complaining about the motor home as much I was saying that the UtV's aren't the loudest things there. To be honest, I was impressed at how the UTV riders respected the speed limit and other rules, I guess except our curfews!!!

Nice form letter response. At least you got a response--the President of KOA must be too busy to respond to my email.

I would think that anyone interested in buying the Moab KOA for the $4.5 mil asking price, would do some research on the complaints. This can't be a positive for helping the place sell, at least not for their price. It will serve Bob right.

Now I'm kind of glad that they messed up our reservations. They had us coming in April 11th instead of May 11th so we didn't stay there.

Last year we stayed at the KOA and didn't have any problems. Is the owners the same as last year?

Oh well, we had a great time at the rally and that's what counts to me.

Very much enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

Take care everyone......Roger and Roger out !!!!!!!!

Those that didn't have any issues at the KOA were simply in the right place at the right time and I'm happy for you. However, if you would have crossed paths with Bob during one of his sporatic menstration periods, you would have probably got yelled at too. I can absolutely promise you that we don't go around looking to cause trouble or to be a burden to anyone. We live our lives with a belief in portraying courtesy and respect to all until were treated like crap. In this case, Bob is simply an A**HOLE!! He definitely deserves every bad comment that comes his way. Respect and courtesy is a two way street. In our experience there, it way obviously directional. With regards to the rest of the staff, we didn't have any issues.

BTW, I have also written the KOA. I will post their response when/if I get one.

I hate to hear this type of stuff, especially since they're so close to the Arena for our event. I wish I had the money to buy it!
