Default Difficulty of trails?

I should have been asking these questions before this but didn't....

I see there is 1 "EASY" trail, 1 "EASY/MODERATE" trail, and 4 "MODERATE" trail rides and "DIFFICULT" and "EXTREME".

My wife's only trip out in our RZR resulted in a Roll over resulting in a broken rib (my fault) so she is obviously nervous about it.

So my questions are "how moderate is moderate"? What is the most extreme type of terrain on a "moderate" trail.

Any help would be appreciated.

well.... I went ahead and registered with Kane Creek, Hurrah Pass, Sand Flats, and Fins & Things. I hope it's right.

That's a great order...you'll be totally fine on those trails and by the time you leave Moab, you'll feel like your skills are a lot better than when you arrived.

So trail sign ups are done at the time of registration? And I assume your locked in to what is picked.

You're not locked into the trails, but I would recommend that you gradually increase the trail difficulty each day. You'll be happy you did.

Question No skid plates yet, which trails to register for?

Since we don't have any skid plates yet, we don't want to sustain any damage on the trail rides. I understand difficulty level ratings, but wanna make sure we choose the right trails for how our RZR is equipped. It's pretty much stock, but we do have the lighter aluminum wheels, but no side bars/rock scrapers or undercarriage skid plates. We wanna participate in as many trails as we can, but obviously don't wanna damage the sled, right? Any information and suggestions will help before registering! Thanks!

Perhaps the trail rides could be updated with this information as well so that others know too. Thanks!

p.s. I know you're busy Chris, but how about making a Facebook page for the rally, too!? The more exposure the better, right?

I think I'd go Hurrah Pass/Chicken Corner first, then Kane Creek. They both use the same road for the first 1/3 of the route. Hurrah Pass is a road that is passable with any vehicle with nice views along the way. Kane Creek will be a little more of a challenge with numerous water crossings and a few more technical areas.

If you stick to the easy and moderate trails you'll be totally fine. But, if it was me, I'd check with some of our sponsors because they'll probably have some on-site they could put on for you at the event. I've got a facebook page for it, but I have no idea how to do it...lol!

Thanks for the info. Chris. We'd like to get some but have to save for them right now. I can help you with the Facebook page, if you make me an Administrator for the Facebook page itself, I'd love to help you with it.
