Okay, here's my take FWIW:
The organizational aspect at ground zero (Spanish Trails Arena) was very good compared to last year. There was no messing around when it came time to go on a ride. IOW if you missed the police escort, you find something else to do for the day if you didn't have a trailer to take off on your own. It seemed pretty obvious (except for one UHP) that the local gendarmes were on our side and that part was great given the circumstances. Breaking up the ride days was good with Friday's events. That let everyone sleep in and get mundane things like laundry and grocery shopping done. OTOH last year we could ride out of where we camped and didn't need to bother with any escorts. It made pre-riding trails and/or taking off for a late afternoon or evening ride on a whim much easier. Last year I gave the trails above Moab a 10 (by scenic beauty, not difficulty) and to be truthful, I'd have to give the trails I rode this year an 11 in that aspect. I can live with 10 type trails if it means not spending half the day waiting for a police escort or trailer to get to the trail heads.
Just my $.02 since you asked.
And BTW... thanks to you, Kyle and Michelle for all the effort you guys put in.
