Hey guys,
Saturday and Sunday we went out to the Boulder OHV Area in AZ to do some suspension testing with the race RZR. Here's a short video of it blasting through the whoops on Trail 6. I'd say the whoops ranged from 1-2' deep, and we were running between 50-60mph. It rode amazing, remaining flat with very little feedback to the driver, which you can easily notice during the slow motion sections.
Steve at Makin' Trax Suspension does an excellent job of getting shocks to work better than most any long travel setup I've ever driven. We've spent the time with him to dial it in, tested quite a bit, and for those contemplating getting long travel, he's now a Lone Star Dealer, as well. So, I'd highly recommend his AFCO shocks combined with one of their 8 over RZR kits or any of their kits for that matter. He spends the time to get it right, that's for sure.
Stay tuned too, because the next video I post will be us running an out and back on trail 6 at 50-60mph. We met up with another race RZR with stock a-arms, and it was like they were standing still on the trail. It's amazing what a properly setup long-travel UTV can do in the whoops.
